SOPHIA’S HEART FOUNDATION TO EXPAND COMPASSION PROGRAMS

 

 

 

Sophia’s Heart announced, in November, the gift of a 76,000 square foot facility in Nashville. This gift, worth over $2 Million will be the new location of Sophia’s Heart’s “Compassion Nashville” Project located at 1034 W. Eastland Ave in Nashville.

 

Sophia’s Heart plans to expand their current compassion programs in the Nashville area benefiting children and families in need. Sophia’s Heart’s “Compassion Nashville” Project will initially focus on three main programs:

 

Performing Arts Educational Programs - after school Music & Arts Programs including a Contemporary Choir, Dance Team and Audio & Video Recording and Engineering Training classes.

Transitional Home – transitional housing for children and families displaced from their homes. Educational programs and life skills training will be provided.

 

Community Service - we will provide tutoring and life skills for qualified young adults who desire the opportunity to improve their lives.

 

“Our vision at Sophia’s Heart includes programs to house and restore the lives of the economically challenged and families that have been displaced from their homes due to unfortunate circumstances,” said Danny Gokey, “This is a great opportunity for Sophia’s Heart and we are asking for financial support from local organizations, community leaders, and our supporters to help reach as many families that need our assistance.”

Sophia's Heart Milwaukee Choir And Pulse Dance Team Performs At Wisconsin Vision Grand Opening

On November 17, 2010, the Sophia's Heart Choir - Milwaukee and Pulse Dance Team performed at the Wisconsin Vision Grand Opening. Wisconsin Vision is located in Glendale, Wisconsin and Wisconsin Visions' President, Darren Horndasch, is a Board Member of Sophia's Heart - Milwaukee. Sophia's Heart also received a $10,000 donation from Wisconsin Vision at this event.

 

Other Milwaukee Choir & Dance Team News:

On November 19th the Sophia's Heart Choir - Milwaukee and Pulse Dance Team were the opening act for Danny Gokey at The Weill Center located in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. The choir performed the song "It's Only" with Danny.
