HOW WE'VE MADE A DIFFERENCE Sophia's Heart of Compassion Gives Support to Local Milwaukee Organizations. On October 19, 2009 Sophia’s Heart gave a helping hand and donated to two local organizations in Milwaukee, WI. HeartLove Place and Hope House, share similar visions of helping within their communities. In an effort to encourage higher education and to help youth achieve their dreams, Sophia's Heart Foundation has established the Sophia L. Gokey Scholarship Fund. We believe that every youth should have the opportunity to achieve a higher education. Economic status and life's hardships should not have to stifle their desire to pursue the dream of a higher education. With this vision in mind on August 25th, 2009, Sophia's Heart and Danny Gokey awarded its' first "Sophia L. Gokey Scholarship Awards" to three recipients. LATEST NEWS Sophia’s Heart of Music & Arts to Start Programs in Nashville In November, Sophia’s Heart will launch its’ first Music & Arts program, a Contemporary Community Choir, within the vicinity of Nashville, TN. This will consist of children and youth that will learn about the historical aspects of modern music, incorporate culturally diverse elements and perform locally in the community.
