HOW WE'VE MADE A DIFFERENCE Danny Gokey Makes Appearance at the L. A. Dream Center's "Christmas in the City" Event On December 20th, 2009 Danny Gokey made a special appearance at the L. a. Dream Center's "Christmas in the City" event to help hand out bicycles to families in Los Angeles, CA. The L. a. Dream Center holds this event every year, and each year it continues to grow. Over 8,000 bicycles were given out this year, making it once again a tremendous success. L. A. Dream Center; Los Angeles, CA (www.dreamcenter.org) Sophia's Heart Teams Up With Oasis Church to Help the Homeless On December 20th, 2009, Sophia's Heart teamed up with Oasis Church, located in Nashville, TN to reach out to homeless people in need. Sophia's Heart was able to donate 100 backpacks to the homeless people that were brought in. LATEST NEWS Danny Gokey Sings National Anthem at Greenbay Packers Game On December 27th, 2009, Danny was able to sing the National Anthem at a Greenbay Packers home game in front of 70,429 fans. In addition to his performance, the audience was able to see the newest Sophia's Heart promotional video. This was a great opportunity to heighten awareness for our cause and unveil our new text donation capabilities. We want to send a special thanks to the Greenbay staff for allowing us this wonderful opportunity and for working diligently to make it happen.
