HOW WE'VE MADE A DIFFERENCE Sophia's Heart of Compassion Helps Provide Meals to over 2,000 People. Through collaborative efforts, during the Thanksgiving holiday, Sophia's Heart of Compassion was able to provide meals to over 2,000 people. LATEST NEWS Danny Gokey & Sophia's Heart Invited to Attend Bucks Game in Milwaukee On October 31st, Danny Gokey and Sophia's Heart were invited to attend the Bucks game in Milwaukee, WI. Sophia's Heart was able to set up booths to advertise Danny's dream and take donations for this amazing cause. With about 18 volunteers on hand, Sophia's Heart was able to hand out informational brochures and raise funds via merchandise sales, and through an auction of various items personally signed by Danny. At half time, Danny sang two songs and was able to share his Vision and Dreams for SHF with hundreds of fans that were in attendance. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the Milwaukee Bucks organization for allowing Danny to share SHF's dream and passion with others in the Milwaukee community. We look forward to working together with the Bucks again in the near future. The L. A. Dream Center Names Their Youth Center After Sophia's Heart On October 27, 2009, the L. A. Dream Center and Danny Gokey announced the naming of the Dream Center's youth center after Sophia's Heart. The center will be called "Sophia's Heart Youth Center". This is a tremendous honor for Sophia's Heart in partnering with the Dream Center, an organization that is giving hope to the homeless, abandoned teens, gang members, and those who suffer from drug and alcohol addiction. The Dream Center L. A. feeds over 30,000 people per week and 1,200 people are housed daily at the L. a. location. We are honored to have been granted this opportunity and excited to share stories with you in the near future from this partnership with the Dream Center. Danny Gokey Begins Promotional Tour On November 16, Danny began a promotional tour revolving around his new single "My Best Days Are Ahead of Me". Danny will be traveling to over 100 country radio and television stations nationwide. Look out for his new single, and possible appearances at a station near you!
